Active Learning

The transformative learning process at Alexandria STEM School is designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. Each day is filled with opportunities to experience new educational and social situations to further development. Our teachers create a safe and open setting, where they can guide students in exploring the world around them.

Capstone

Capstones help to make schoolwork more relevant to students’ lives by engaging all students in small groups to solve real-world problems related to Egypt's Grand Challenges. Capstone are one semester in length, 2 sessions/week with scheduled field trips. The Engineering Design Process is used as a systematic approach to problem solving. Capstones are similar to project-based learning curricula, but integrate across disciplines and include individual formative assessments and group summative assessments. Teachers facilitate student work while outside partners, such as universities, are engaged to support student work.
